JeWareGT
I heard about Nuun on the radio this morning, and I'm intrigued. The line with the highest sodium has 360mg, which is great for a 16oz bottle of water! I have been worried about depleting other electrolytes with all the salt loading, so this could be a good option to keep the other levels up as well. I think it's also zero or low calorie, so it seems like a better alternative than gatorade, etc. Anyone heard of/tried it? http://www.nuun.com/products
margiebee
I have tried it, it tastes great and is effective but I had to stop using it recently because it contains sorbitol which causes me intestinal problems. Huge bummer.
JeWareGT
That is a bummer! I just got the strawberry lemonade kind this afternoon and it's delicious.
Mydoggielovesme2
Use it every day. Was recommended to me when at Mayo. For those going gluten free, use caution, only some are GF.
Lethargic Smiles
I really would like to use it because I've heard wonderful things. I choose not to because I try and only consume products made with whole foods.
seattle chris
I use them all the time. They are portable and great for traveling. Check out Super Supplements if you buy some as they have deep discounts on certain flavors.
JeWareGT
Thanks for the responses! How many do you use per day generally, and what flavors are the best? I drank 2 yesterday, and one was pretty close to when I went to sleep, and I didn't wake up to pee at all last night! Maybe it's a coincidence, but I feel like I held my water a little better yesterday than I do normally. Very exciting
ShakeyTheOwl
Initially ordered variety of flavors. Now I order box monthly. Typically average four tablets a day. They are convenient. As SeattleChris pointed out there are online deals. Also, these were recommended by the Neuro.I've found salt loading challenging via natural source and or tablet (very hard on gut)Nuun has been tolerable since dx in February of this year. jknh9
I use these too, especially on days when I'm pretty active. I think they taste all right for what they are, and certainly better than Gatorade I prefer the grapefruit flavor.
shan1212
I drink nuun water all day. I think the flavor thing is just personal as I've seen people recommend ones that I don't really like, yet obviously I like others very much or else I couldn't drink it all day. Enid
I have 2 - 3 tablets per day - I go to bed with the orange citrus flavour at my bedside and drink ~ 8 oz before I get out of bed. Then I prefer the lemon lime during the day. I often mix with soda water.
