angelloz Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 Didn't think I could have anything new happen but here it is. A quick review....I have had migraines for many years. After the onset of my autonomic problems I developed a constant daily head pain/pressure that is less painful than my migraines but bearable, probably because my migraines are so severe . This pressure feeling was relieved when I would lay down at night. Now ...for the past couple of weeks..I have buzzing in my ears and horrible tender head pain and pressure that is pronounced when I lay down , making it impossible to sleep. Feels like I am filling up with fluid. Issie, could this be from taking too much ginger??? I am taking it daily for help with the migraines. If anyone has had this it would help to know I'm not alone. Angelloz Quote
E Soskis Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 I wonder if you have a combination of things: migraine and autonomic headache at the same time....Just guessing though - The dysautonomia headaches I get start deep within the "center" of my brain and radiate outward - also have bad neck pain at times with it. I have constant "ringing" or "buzzing' in my ears from the dysautonomia and it is way worse at night - probably because it is a quieter environment at night so I "hear" more....might want to try not lying flat - dysautonomia causes lying flat to aggravate symptoms - try a wedge pillow and elevate your head 30-degrees or so - may help....sorry about all of your headaches and symptoms - real nuisance isn't it? - you may be "flaring" these past couple of weeks...... angelloz Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Posted March 13, 2013 Strangely...the pain and pressure is almost gone when standing.Angelloz Quote
diamondcut Posted March 14, 2013 Report Posted March 14, 2013 I am very similar to you with the pressure you are describing, right behind my eyes and also the neck pain. I think E soskis is saying in how we have a combination of headaches all chipping away at us. I think i have fluctuating high pressure, Diamox helped for a while but seemed to stop after a couple of months, sleeping at about a 40-50 degree angle has made such a difference and helped me though. Its hard at first but you do get use to it. I am the same in that the pain is better on standing, laying in bed flat too long in the morning is a bad idea for me and standing clears it for a few hours. They do sadly return though. Quote
