Benadryl/diphenhydramine Is An Ssri?

If you read the wikipedia description of diphenhydramine (benadryl) ,under pharmacology, you will find something along these lines:

'...in the 60's it was found to inhibit the reuptake of serotonin...this discovery led to a search for a viable antidepressant ...culminating with the invention of Prozac....' :huh:

Is benadryl an SSRI, or am interpreting this the wrong way?

Does anyone know more about this?
