lfreem02
My GP has agreed to do a 24 hour urine test to check my hormone levels. I have been taking Florinef for about a month, and wonder if I need to stop taking it for a period of time before doing the test? I am planning to tell the lab that I am taking it, but I am wondering if it will skew the test too much.
sue1234
I honestly wouldn't know for a fact, but I bet it would if you're testing cortisol. What all is he testing?
Guest Alex
I've had my catecholamines tested through a 24 h urine test and I was on florinef at the time of the test. I was told there is no interference - I'm not sure if they could be testing for aldosterone (natural version of florinef)?!
lfreem02
I believe she is checking cortisol, but could be checking for other things. She is trying to get me in to an Endocrinologist, but I have to have some diagnosis, or test result to show cause for the appointment.
