ramakentesh
Hey guys, y'all seem knowledgeable about this testing business, so I have a quick question. Can you have a normal ANA & sedimentation rate and still have an autoimmune process going on?It'd be less likely, but yes it is possible.I wasnt aware any studies had linked the speckled ANA found in some POTS patients specifically with AAG. The description of AAG suggest a strong association with stomach symptoms, pupil abnormalities and other comorbid autoimmune diseases. Remember there are other neuropathies that occur in POTS not associated with this autoantibody. Also that most patients tested positive for both binding and activating autoantibodies.
