Bruises?

Recommended Posts

Someone pointed out to me today (because I had shorts on and apparently don't check out my own legs too often) that I had multiple big bruises on both my legs. What could this mean? I don't remember hitting myself or running into anything. In the past, I've noticed bruises on my legs for no reason too but this time they are big and dark. I thought it meant blood clots or something. Is this true?

There are quite a few things that can cause easy bruising such as anemia, various meds including things like aspirin and tylenol, EDS and other connective tissue diseases etc. It is something you should mention to your doc when you see them next. Also, I recommend with something like this that you can photograph and that may or may not be there when you see the doc, to take pictures of the bruises when you have them, then, you can show the doc no matter what.
