Dysautonomia / Ans Specialists In Pennsylvania Or Md?

Does anyone see a specialist in dysautonomia in Pennsylvania or Maryland that might be taking new patients. I may end up with a referral from PCP to do a full work up if we can't get my issues under control / fully understood by the beginning of June. I live in Central PA, so I think the nearest autonomic lab would be at Cleveland Clinic. If anyone has other suggestions (a Dr. at Johns Hopkins, etc), please let me know! Thanks!!!!!

The only doctor I know of for adults in MD is Dr. Ramesh Khurana at Union Memorial Hospital. He does have equipment for autonomic testing but isn't a big operation like Cleveland Clinic or Mayo. It usually takes 3-5 months to get a new patient appt. with him. PM me if you have specific questions about him. Happy to help with any info I can give you.

Cleveland or Toledo. Cleveland will take you faster and do tons of testing.. Toledo has the Guru, Dr. Grubb, he thinks outside the box.. I know a doc in Philly but he'll only do a holter and TTT and try different meds. Just my opinion but I think everyone should get all the autonomic tests they can before getting meds.

Rich, who do you like at Cleveland? Think that will probably be my best option. My NMH issues are triggered / exagerated around my menstrual cycle (I go hypotensive the week prior), so if there is someone at Cleveland who has particular expertise with women or at least wouldn't mind consulting with one who does (whether another cardio or OB/GYN), I'd like to see them.

Here is a link to Cleveland's lab http://my.clevelandclinic.org/neuromuscular_center/services/autonomic_laboratory.aspx and here is a list of their doctors http://my.clevelandclinic.org/neuromuscular_center/staff.aspx I would also check Dinet's list of physicians and make a new poll for all these doctors asking everyone which one's they liked the best and if they also have your issues, if you click to make the poll public you can see and PM them to ask deeper questions. Goodluck!
