caroline
Today i visited Stanford's new dysautonomia clinic and saw its well-qualified director. Dr Jaradeh. What a pleasure to have somebody understand everything I said and address all my concerns. Intern under his direction was also good. It seems they are planning a full-scale diagnostic lab. (Didn't get the details.). What good news for us Californians!

DoozlyGirl
Congratulations to Stanford for recognizing that the west coast desperately needs a full scale autonomic clinic/laboratory! Dr Jaradeh is well qualified in autonomic disorders, as he trained at Mayo and started up the full scale autonomic laboratory at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and chaired the neurology department for years. He diagnosed my autonomic neuropathy. He will do you well.
sandymbme
This is good news! There is far too few resources to turn to for diagnosis and treatment, and the west coast has been terribly deprived! Yay!Sandy

Maiysa
That's such great news. Hard to find the autonomic labs in the west or southwest. Just in case and I know it's a far drive, but Mayo in Scottsdale also has an autonomic lab through the neuro department. But good to know there are options. StacyRN
I'm thrilled to hear this! I've seen Dr. Karen Friday, EP/cardio at Stanford, and she was the only one who knew about POTS at the time in the area! So to hear that there is an autonomic specialist is outstanding news! Thanks for sharing

Chaos
That's super news! Can't believe they haven't had one in California before this given the huge population out there.
