sue1234 Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 I was reading this on the New York Times' FB page. It talks about how important exercise is to clean the body of toxins. Otherwise, they accumulate. Well, I must be pretty toxic. The other interesting thing is this study was done by a Dr. Beth Levine of UT in Dallas! I might assume she is related to the other Dr. Levine in Dallas that uses exercise to fix patients. It was funny to read in the exercise article that she says that they can study this in rats, but haven't figured a way yet to study it in humans. Hmmmm....http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/01/exercise-as-housecleaning-for-the-body/?smid=fb-nytimes&WT.mc_id=HL-E-FB-SM-LIN-EAH-020112-NYT-NA&WT.mc_ev=click Quote
ramakentesh Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 I think the liver does a pretty good job of eliminating toxins or so the medical establishment would suggest, although a liver starved of blood every time you stand might not work as effectively. Exercise does a lot in terms of decreasing endothelial free radicals like ROS apparently. Quote
