Should I Go To The Emergency Room?

I got off of 2 weeks of Florinef, felt good for about 3 days after, now tonight I feel like I'm getting steam rolled. Am I in danger? I'm feeling much weaker then before, lying down doesn't seem to help, seems to make me want to pass out more.

Should I be going to the hospital?

I would call 911 and they can check your vitals and then u will know for sure. Good luck and keep us posted

My pulse is as it always is, and my lying down BP is 120/66. I guess it's just I feel full body weakness, I haven't passed out.

Id go to the ER and say that you are very dehydrated and get some saline. Wait and see how much better you feel after 1 litre of that stuff!

I'm not sure how long I'd keep it in me. Right now I'm going to the bathroom every 30 seconds. I got my compression stockings on, haven't passed out, and my BP and pulse seem ok.

I dont go unless I am pretty much dying...ie passing out more than 5 times in an hour. But only you know your body and what you can tolerate.

You could be having steroid withdrawal symptoms (adrenal insufficiency) what is your heart rate? Did you taper off or just cold turkey? If in doubt go and see your doctor or go to ER you might need to do a slow taper off florinef

Jangle, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. If you live alone can someone come stay with you for the night? If you feel like you need to go then you probably should listen to how you feel. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Thanks for the concern, yes my dr said to just stop the Florinef abrubtly. My pulse seems a little bit lower than usual, but it's nothing too extreme. My blood pressure is normal.

Hope it works out. My general experience is that ER is a waste of time for POTS patients even ifd you are experiencing severe symptoms because they will probably not understand why you are feeling that poorly.

I find saline stays longer in the system than liquids i drink.

When I was on Florinef, my potassium level plummeted and I was feeling whole body cramps/aches, and just a general feeling of garbage. They gave me a potassium supplement and took me off Florinef. ER's ****.
