More On Aldosterone And Renin

Recommended Posts

Since elevated NE in essential hypertension results in INCREASED cerebral blood flow why does it do the opposite in POTS?

That's the million dollar question. If I had a million dollars - I'd give it for that answer. :)

Low blood volume or impaired cerebral autoregulation are pretty strong candidates, based not on my own speculation but medical research.

Here's an interesting thread I ran across - with one of our own being one of the main contributors in the conversation (Rama). (I found out before posting it is okay to post threads from other forums.) Some good info here on the renin/aldosterone system in low flow POTS.

Hey thanks Issie, altough I'm too brain fogged to figure it all out (AND keep it in mind!), I came across a dutch participant who shared info on where to go for blood volume measuring. So quite helpful!
