Rene S.
I've been having loss of vision lately and it's been scaring me due to the fact that my b/p is up so high then down. Scared to death that I was ruining my eyes or damaging my retina. Saw a retina specialist today - anyone in Bucks County, PA who needs one, this guy is great! he knows all about dysautonomia and even mentioned Blair Grubbs name! I told him what's been going on, blurring, double vision shadows, etc. He told me that just as the dysautonomia affects the muscles in your body by weakening them it can do the same in your eyes. So, I haven't YET damaged my eyes from the pressure issue. He even did an ultra sound of my retinas Very cool.So one more thing to add to my list of symptom.Anyone else having visual problems? My presciiption in my glasses hasn't changed in over 2o years, now all of sudden I need a stronger lens. Just another day in the life of autonomic dysfunction.Rene

Mrs. Burschman
I have kind of a weird vision thing. Sometimes things that are flat (floor, computer screens) don't look flat to me. It's especially bad if I've been standing a while. Eye doc couldn't find anything wrong, so I'm chalking it up to my stupid autonomic nervous system.Amy
bizbiz
When I first got sick everytime I looked at the computer the screen would move in waves, and I used to see floaters. These both improved as I got better. Now I find that anytime I have to read (books or magazines only, not computer), I get a feeling of presure behind my eyes...almost like it is too much hard work on my eye muscles to focus. It feels like I'm going cross-eyed, but of course when I check in the mirror I'm not...(thankfully - going cross-eyed is not another thing I want to deal with). Kitsakatsa
I've been dxd with Adie's eye this year (tonic eye). There is a research study 8 about 2000 by Dr. Low that includes tonic eye if you want to look it up. Its glamorous and more. I'm so thrilled. Mrs. Burschman
Sorry. That's the last thing any of us like to hear -- a fun new diagnosis!
gertie
I've had eye problems since the onset of Dys. I've had vitreous detachments, double vision, lost partial vision, blurry, things appear to be moving, flashing lights, dots floating on the walls etc. The strangest thing is sometimes when I look at a color, usually red , when I look away everything still looks red for a few min. I don't know how much of that is from Dys but I didn't have them before.
