prettyinpink
Dr.Grubb tried to explain how type 1 diabetes lead to or is associated with my POTS but i didn't really understand. I couldn't find any research on the two being associated. Is anyone else a type 1 diabetic with POTS or know how they're related?
dsdmom
Have you been diagnosed with autonomic neuropathy? My guess is he meant that diabetes can cause autonomic neuropathy, which in turn can cause POTS symptoms.
ajw4790
Possibly because Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disorder, and POTS can be caused or triggered by autoimmune diseases. And with Diabetes there is the liklihood of autonomic neuropathy which can then present as POTS.
