dsdmom
What does it feel like? Do you have it all the time? Just sometimes? Where?I've been getting these shocking tingles in my toes and lower legs - they aren't just tingly - they hurt. Not all the time...just wondering if that is what it is.Is this from neuropathy? Does its appearance mean neuropathy is getting worse? I just found out I have autonomic neuropathy and until recently only had tingly feelings - no electricity type pain. doctorguest
What you describe does sound like neuropathic pain, which can be one of the symptoms of the autonomic neuropathy. In addition, you may want to ask you doctor to order basic blood tests, including vitamin B12, B6 and B1, deficiency of which can cause or worsen neuropathic pain. mkoven
I get tingling, numbness, and sometimes pain in my feet and legs. In my case, we're pretty sure it's disc related. It's worse if I sit too long, twist, carry too much, or lean over from the waist. My three lowest discs are in poor shape-- L5-S1 was surgerized, and now the 2 above are not so great. I can tell which disc is misbehaving from where it hurts/tingles. So the quesiton might be whether you have/have had any back pain. it gets better when I walk, get up, or lie down. No more surgeries, though, if I can avoid it.
