Dear DINET Members:

DINET encourages members to become educated consumers of health care. It is each member's responsibility to do his or her own research and investigations, and make their own decisions about their healthcare direction. Our organization truly cares about our members and the Dysautonomia Community as a whole. We strive to offer you information and resources relevant to making informed and positive decisions about your health care. With that said, DINET cautions and urges all members to investigate fully any treatments, medical professionals and organizations referenced by other members prior to seeking and obtaining treatment.

In addition, DINET endorses medical diagnoses and evidence based treatments from board certified and licensed medical practitioners only. While some patients have found help from alternative forms of care, such as naturopaths, homeopaths, chiropractors, acupuncturists, etc, DINET's Physician's list is limited at this time to licensed MD's, DO's, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.

Dysautonomia is still a poorly understood class of disorders, yet can be disabling. This can make patients targets for providers/vendors who unfortunately don't have the best interest of the patient in mind, or may simply not have the training and knowledge necessary to render safe or effective care.

 Sincerely,

DINET Forum Staff and Board of Directors
