Heilkunst Homeopathy

Has anyone tried this type of treatment? I have been trying some energy work and the practitioner suggested this homeopath. Having talked to the homeopath, she is suggesting that she has a 98% cure rate. This makes me nervous as I have been sick for so long and tried so much that hearing a near perfect success rate sounds absurd.

Hi,

I don't know if this will be helpfull, but I've tried homeopathy here in Ireland with no success. She was also very positive that the remedies will help me, but after trying a few different ones I just gave up. Your story might be a different one, and I would love to hear that someone was cured with natural medicine.

I've also tried acupuncture and oriental herbs. Nothing gave me the relief even from tachycardia, although acupuncture and herbs are considered to be very effective for heart problems. Maybe the girl wasn't very experienced and chose the wrong points and herbs.

A 98% rate for curing POTS or for illness in general? Maybe you should ask how many patients she's had. I can't imagine that anyone, besides a POTS specialist, would encounter too many POTS patients. Even my cardiologist only has a couple of patients besides me, and that's in a big city. I'd also be wary. The best known treatments for POTS are already listed on the Dinet main page, and I would be careful of trying anything else.

Have you tried an osteopath? I am also considering this due to my fibromyalgia/CFS symptoms. Not sure it will do anything for POTS but hoping for pain relief/constipation relief for a start.

bren 22 I have not tried osteopath. I was thinking maybe I should try chiropractor. Anyways what is the difference between the two. Since I can't work at the moment money is a little bit of an issue for me and I have to use brakes in many things that I would like to try.

I don't know if you are aware of this site, but one lady gives her experience about different kind of alternative therapies that she has tried herself

I thought maybe some of you would like to check it out.

I had a naturopath tell me that she could cure me. She didn't even know what I had--at least didn't give a name to it. Later when I was diagnosed I told her the name of my diagnosis (POTS) and she said, oh I knew that was what you had.

Anyway...I tried her treatment and it did absolutely nothing for me, except cost money.

I know some people use licorice root to raise bp and there may be a few other remedies with a track record. But I would be careful with anyone making claims about cures. Furthermore, I would involve my physician(s) in any decisions on other treatments to make sure they don't interfere with meds.

Been reading this post with great interest. Its not an easy thing to know what and who to trust completely. In MY experience I have good docs and many who have guessed..and mostly "treated" me with meds. I know why MDs use RX because for most..their training is evaluating..testing and RXing ( and surgery). MDs USE to be trained in wholistic medicine more than hundred years ago.

Nature DOES produce many remedies. Just look at the countries that do not have the pharmaceuticals..like the Chinese.. Native Americans.. they have many treatments that work..and for longer than our RX have bee around. Oddly, the pharmaceuticals built our medical colleges.. conduct and sponsor most of the research..and now MDs do not get complete training in using these more natural products nor any training in nutrition. The smart and up to date docs are curious and try and mix up their practice with choices.

Yes I am skeptical if ANYONE says the word CURE. Thats not trustworthy for sure. A GOOD alternative medicine provider CANNOT Diagnose but they can recommend. I have had the most amazing changes in my neuro problems with first this realy good chiropractor who uses ART in his practice. ART is Automomic REsponse Testing. He is trained to READ the body's energy/electrical/nerve impulses. He can UNBLOCK where nerves bunch up and block the bodys own electrical energy from the brain through out the nervous system. When our nervous systems are blocked thorugh inflammation.. having nerve endings CUT like from surgeries or injuries..they MESSAGES the electrical energy brings for healing becomes BLOCKED. Anyway..He is amazing..but..he is NOT your typical chiro..he does NOT crunch bones..and he'll tell you if he CANNOT help and recommends MDs that specialize in what he suspects is wrong.

Now I have this amazing NUTRITIONIST who also uses the same ART method of testing..but its also called NRT Nurtitional REsponse Testing..the same method..but looking for nutritional imbalances. HE detoxed the chemicals and heavy metals out of my body..like MERCURY found every where now.

Next he builds UP the brain/body sytems where I was deficient. YOU ONLY NEED the EXACT foods your brain/body needs ONLY for the time you are deficient!!! YOu dont KEEP taking a product forever like with most RX. He also can measure EXACTLY the amt you need too. Have you EVER heard of an MD prescribe something EXACTLY for the amt YOU need.. for the length of time YOU need it? And have you EVER been told the SOURCE of where your symptoms come from??

These two guys have saved my life. I would not be working and probably be dead if they did not intervene. They both work WITH any MDs I see..they do not have you discontinue your meds..but rather complement the meds and help with side effects of RX. Its WHOLE FOODS organically grown ..ground into capsule or tablet form. All I know is that I FEEL better and some of my problems have subsided or are gone. So much so..that when I have a FLARE..both my neuros tell me to see the nutritionist..They too are amazed at the results.. and all TOGETHER..these guys who practice with alernative treatments WITH my MDs.. I get excellent care.

NEVER was I told I was given A CURE. Be careful..but please dont dismiss a good quality practitioner that helps many many people without full knowledge yourself. I am living proof. I need them all !!

I don't know anything about Heilkunst Homeopathy, but have tried homeopathy. It has never done a thing for me either. I have also tried it w/ my daughter that has epilepsy ... it triggered a huge status seizure. The NDs response was sometimes you have to get worse before you get better <_<

We also both see an osteopath. I highly recommend it if you can find yourself a good DO. They are very interested in the ANS in general and understand how a quirky one can lead to other health issues.

Many also do prolo. Prolo can be great for folks w/ EDS or hypermobility issues.

I think there was a DO at the EDNF conference last year talking about prolo therapy.

Make sure you understand what you are getting into. Homeopathic remedies are not the same as using naturally occurring substances to treat problems. "Homeopathy" is based on the idea that you can treat people with drugs (in very, very minute doses) that in healthy people would produce the same symptoms as the disease itself.

There's a very good critical review of homeopathy online here.

Felt I had to chime in.

I see a chiropractor about once a month to have the joints that were out of place, put back into place. I'll see him sometimes more often if I can't get a joint back to where it needs to be. I would be lost without my Chiro.

I have seen an acupuncturist and it did help a lot with the pain from the EDS, but once I stopped seeing her the pain came back with a vengeance.

I have gotten some good luck with a few herbal treatments. If I hit myself hard against something I take Arnica Montana and that helps with the inevitable bruising. I've found an arnica cream that helps sore joints somewhat. I also take Rescue Remedy for some POTS attacks. It seems to calm them down if I take it early enough in the process. I also take vitamin D from an herbalist (1 drop = 1000iu) which is better than a pill as I can't swallow pills with ease.

Hi,

I am not familiar with it, but I think you have to be very careful, especially with claims like they make! Watch what you put in or do to your body. Make sure that before you take anything, even if it is "natural" that your dr. okays it. You want to make sure it doesn't mess with your current meds or treatment.

I am taking Homeopathy treatment for 1 month. Very good improvement in my energy levels and my chest discomforts are almost nil.

I am 58 yrs old live in India. Due to my age the homeopath said she can cure me 85-90% .

Homeopathy medication approach is different from allopathy. Treatment is case by case. Normal levels vary depending on body constitution.

First they study the case thoroughly, diagnose the reason and give medication depending on the body constitution. Potency that is strength

of medication varies. First the body is cleansed and then the treatment. Treatment is for the whole body, that is overall improvement. Not just

the pain or discomfort. My dysautonomia is secondary and my homeopath says the reason is general anasthesia given during my 3 surgeries.

I know orthopedic cases, allergy asthma cases, who has no cure in allopathy are cured by Homeopathy. As the pills acts directlyin the nerves I have high hopes. THE DOCTOR IS VERY IMPORTANT - HIS SKILL AND EXPERIENCE !!!.
