Photo of EmmaHi all I hope you're ok and had a great Christmas and New Year?

Thought I would write an email to give you a quick update on how things are going for me....

The Albumin infusions are going great, and I am being trained to administer all treatment myself. Once I have done this then funding can be found for a pump and I can do my own treatment at home, which would be great!!

Physiotherapy is going well and I am slowly learning how to walk. It's taking a long time but I am getting there, and it will be worth the effort and also the wait.

I went for a weekend to Dublin in December, which was the first time I had flown since falling ill with POTS... I had a few problems on the flight with feeling dizzy, but apart from that all went well. I go back there on the 4th of Feb to the 7th with my partner.

Life is great for me so I can't moan...

Bye for now x x x x x x

Hi All!

Hope everyone is doing ok and taking good care?

I have been back in hospital to have a new port put in my chest the one I had stopped working. I am at home now and taking it easy, as I'm pretty sore but doing ok.

Treatment is still going well and I have a home visit next Wednesday with the Physio and OT. This is to see if I'm safe using crutches for half an hour a day at home... this is a huge break-through for me.

My studying is going well, but I have fallen a bit behind. I'm sure it won't take too long to get back on track once I have healed from the operation.

I am booked to go back to Dublin for a weekend in five weeks, which will be a nice break again. I can't go away any longer then a weekend because until I am able to give myself treatments I have to go back to the hospital for them.

Take care all,

Emma
