Fundraising Success: What One Person Can Do

How terrific is this? Nina Wilde single-handedly executed the Dysautonomia Information Network's first fundraiser. Nina sold 250 bracelets to raise funds for DINET. The bracelets had an inspirational quote as well as DINET's web address printed on them. Altogether, Nina raised over $1,400. The Dysautonomia Information Network would like to express our sincerest thanks for the tremendous support Nina has shown. Care to match Nina?

How many doctors did you see before you were properly diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS)?

Each of you with POTS has been through a time when you were undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. Do you remember how upsetting it was when no one could figure out what was wrong with you? You probably even remember the faces and names of the doctors who were unable to correctly diagnose you, or worse yet, misdiagnosed you.

Now, with DINET, you have a chance to educate those doctors. DINET is working to publish a brochure that has information on POTS, tests patients may need, as well as the suggestion to check blood pressure and heart rate standing as well as sitting. As a DINET member, you have the opportunity to submit the names of doctors you would like to receive this educational brochure. All we ask for is a small donation to cover the printing and mailing fees for each request. Check DINET's next newsletter for more information on ordering these educational brochures.

Does your place of business or family give to charity? If so, please let them know about the Dysautonomia Information Network, www.dinet.org. Thank you!
