In Praise of Dr. Cecil Coghlan
by Gail Clements, Dothan, Alabama

I have been going to Dr. Coghlan for 8 years. I presented with cardiomyopathy, which had been present for a year. I credit my life and present health to his expertise. He takes an enormous amount of time every 6 months just listening to my symptoms and giving a physical exam. He is such a genius with a stethoscope. He listens to my heart and then I have a 3D MRI to confirm what he has heard and already explained to me. He is the most gifted physician I have ever seen - he not only possesses an extraordinary amount of knowledge, but he understands the practical side of medicine and is able to diagnose and explain what is happening and why. I had severe MVP before I developed cardiomyopathy, and was just fortunate that I lived in Alabama and was able to see Dr. Coghlan.
